Het is 2002 wanneer de Venlose ondernemer Jan Klerken, directeur en eigenaar van Scelta Mushrooms, wereldmarktleider op het gebied van de ontwikkeling en levering van champignonproducten, voor de eerste maal zijn gedachten de gang laat gaan omtrent een nieuw te bouwen bedrijfspand. Zijn droom is om naast de realisatie van een nieuwe kantoorruimte voor zijn huidige bedrijf, ook een ontwikkelingscentrum voor nieuwe recepturen en smaakbelevenissen te creëren en het thema gezondheid te gaan belichten. "Dare to share" staat centraal en naast de functie als kantoor en innovatiecentrum voor Scelta Mushrooms dient het dan ook voor andere bedrijven een inspiratievolle locatie om te winnoveren te zijn. Deze droom heeft geresulteerd in een definitief ontwerp voor een nieuwbouwpand van architect Fred Hias uit Gent welk de naam The Scelta Institute heeft meegekregen. Als locatie viel de keuze op de exacte plek waar Jan Klerken op 16-jarige leeftijd bij het champignonconserven bedrijf van zijn vader zijn eerste stappen in de ondernemerswereld heeft gezet. In januari 2007 werd de start gemaakt met de nieuwbouw, waarbij het pand en de gehele inrichting volgens de nieuwste en hoogste standaarden werd gerealiseerd. Het personeel van Scelta Mushrooms was inmiddels al naar de nieuwe locatie verhuisd en zag het gebouw verrijzen vanuit de aan de zijkant van het bouwterrein gelegen tijdelijke kantoorcontainers. Con ocasión de los 100 años del descubrimiento de la Ciudadela Inca de Machu Picchu, por parte del arqueólogo y explorador Hiram Bingham, un grupo de consagrados cantantes y actores se ha unido, por primera vez, para cantar el tema musical "Machu Picchu", que será donado a cualquier institución para que sea utilizado libremente. Los Hermanos Yaipén, Edith Barr, Julie Freundt, Ruth Karina, Marisela Puicón, Fernando de Soria, Lucy Avilés y Ebelyn Ortiz, entre muchos otros talentos nacionales y extranjeros, han sumado sus voces para interpretar una canción que se espera pueda convertirse en un himno del tesoro más importante que con el que cuenta nuestro país. También forman parte del proyecto: Malena Calisto, Rubén Flórez, Delfina Paredes, Isabel Íñigo, Susan León, Tatiana Espinoza, Ronny Zuzunaga, Rafael Santa Cruz, Maritza Rodríguez, Antonio Arrue, Hermanas del Rocío, Lula Valdivia, Jorge Luis Jasso, Javier Santibáñez, Eduardo del Perú, Agrupación Folklórica: Cruz del Sur y muchos otros.
